Welcome to the pages of the project “New electronic states driven by frustration in layered materials” (short: F2E).  This project lasted from June 15, 2010 to June 15, 2012.  The project was supported by the Unity Through Knowledge Fond (UKF ),

through grant 65/10 (grant amount
823050.00 HRK), and matched by the support (total  536550.00 HRK)  by Ecole Polytechnique de Lausanne (EPFL) Lausanne  and 1. Physikalishes Institut, Univ. Stuttgart.

This project had several goals: to develop new high-pressure capabilities at Institute of Physics in Zagreb, to advance the investigations of layered materials with novel electronic properties; and to launch  joint experimental and theoretical efforts regarding these materials within the institutions involved, as well as to set the framework for wider collaboration and future project applications.

Separate pages  provide extended abstract of the project, the list of project participants , project results, and  list of dissemination activities.

Throughout the project its activities have been  reflected through publications, seminars and lectures delivered by the project members.  The project development may be also followed through numerous sub-pages of this web site, sorted (anti)chronologically, as well as through categories for easier navigation. I hope that the you may find some of the contents listed on these pages linked to your interests.
